We are pleased to present you a small program of winter ski mountaineering excursions that will develop in the Bitto Valleys, places that have represented the passageways between the Republic of Venice and Grisons over the centuries.
Valleys that were used by merchants, masons from Bergamo, mowers, blacksmiths and tinsmiths, as a bridge between Italy and Switzerland.
At the end of the excursion we will taste the traditional Valtellinese dishes: pizzoccheri, sciatt, chiscöö, and other products such as slinzega (small bresaola), Bitto, the king of cheese, typical of the “lower valley” and the sweet Bisciola.
We will be far from the places of mass tourism and from that of consumption, far from the confusion and the ski lifts; on the contrary we will be in contact with a nature that belongs to us, because we belong to it.
