Ferrino Colle Sud tent with a geodesic structure for expeditions

Designed for alpine and polar mountaineering expeditions, this expedition tent uses a geodesic structure for stability in wind and snow. Its internal layout supports organized use during prolonged field operations, while colour-coded poles help simplify pitching.

Entrances, ventilation, and weather protection

Double entrances provide access from either side. Ventilation sleeves and auxiliary vents help manage the internal microclimate, and a liftable snow flap helps limit snow intrusion. The flysheet and floor are made from aluminised polyester Oxford rated at 4,000 mm, and all seams are taped.

Materials and construction

The inner tent is made from water-repellent, breathable nylon Ripstop. The load-bearing frame comprises seven shock-corded poles made from 7001 T6 tempered aluminium alloy, each 13 mm in diameter. Continuous mesh sleeves and colour coding support the pitching process.

Packed dimensions and included equipment

For transport, the packed tent measures 31 × 80 cm and weighs between 15 and 16 kg. The supplied equipment includes a stuff sack, aluminium pegs, guy lines attached directly to the poles, and a repair kit.

Recommended use

This high-altitude tent is intended for alpine and polar expeditions. Its geodesic frame, snow flap, ventilation options, and expedition-focused construction suit extended use in demanding mountain and polar environments.
